Caring about what others think – Lao Tzu Quote

lao tzu quote image picture inspirational quote care about what others think alway prisoner

  1. Other people really don’t care as much as you think. People tend to spend very little time thinking outside of themselves actually. Its a sad truth, but, people are generally ego-centric and think about most things in terms of “ME”. Sorry to break it to you, but people spend very little time thinking about you at all.
  2. People and their thoughts are constantly changing. Even if they think badly of you at the moment, there is a good chance they will forget or think differently in the future. So it doesn’t really matter.
  3. Its impossible to please everybody. This is a simple fact.
  4. Other people don’t have to live with your choices, but you do.
  5. Life is too short.

“Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner” – Lao Tzu

Sharing Spirituality

Sharing Spirituality

Feeling the positive benefits of a spiritual journey, its hard not to want to share it with those you care about. Sharing is very important and a natural part of a spiritual journey. In fact it gradually becomes a matter of duty to share, but one must do so responsibility. It’s very easy to sound judgmental, controlling, or coming with a “you have to do this” attitude .  How you share, is as important as what you share.  Here I would like to share with you some insights into the consciousness of sharing;

We All Have Our Flaws

spirituality-quote-flaws-awareness-kabbalah-kundalini-meditation-eckhart-thich-chopra-kybalion

The ego lives through comparison. How you are seen by others is often how you see yourself.
When I criticise or condemn another it makes me feel bigger, more superior. These are egoic patterns that are often hard to break. Most of the time, the things that bother us about other people are actually reflections of your our internal issues, which is why they are so apparent to us. At times when you find yourself criticising others, ask, “what is it in me that needs to change?”
First we must become aware of these mental processes, and then we slowly drop them.

The Noble Purpose of Suffering

meditation-spiritual-suffering-path-quote

Suffering has a noble purpose, the evolution of consciousness and the burning up of ego.
The ego says, I should not have to suffer, and that makes you suffer so much more.

It is a distortion of the truth.

Your soul’s purpose is to transform.
As long as you avoid suffering, you slow to process of transformation, because the resistance creates more ego. When you accept suffering, however, there is an acceleration of that process which is brought about by the fact that you suffer cautiously. The fire of suffering becomes the light of consciousness.

Doubt is Good

doubt spirituality girl religion

Doubt is good.
It is an inherent part of anyones spiritual journey. I have had my fair share of doubt.
It comes every now and then, in different orders of magnitude.
Recently, I came across an article in regards to Yogi Bhajan, a key figure in bringing Kundalini to the West. I have a great affinity for his school and having found Kundalini a while back, It is a fundamental part of my daily well-being routine.
The article outlined several purported accusations against Bhajan. Immediately my mind went into a spirals.
I told myself.“This guy is a fraud, this entire thing is a fraud!”

Enlightenment? No

buddha - enlightenment“Does a Buddha say to himself, ‘I have obtained Enlightenment.’?”
“No. There is no such thing as Perfect Enlightenment to obtain. If a Perfectly Enlightened Buddha were to say to himself, ‘I am enlightened’ he would be admitting there is an individual person. Enlightenment consists of transcending the Self and realizing that individuality is an illusion.”
