The ego lives through comparison. How you are seen by others is often how you see yourself.
When I criticise or condemn another it makes me feel bigger, more superior. These are egoic patterns that are often hard to break. Most of the time, the things that bother us about other people are actually reflections of your our internal issues, which is why they are so apparent to us. At times when you find yourself criticising others, ask, “what is it in me that needs to change?”
First we must become aware of these mental processes, and then we slowly drop them.
Ever considered yourself to be an idol worshipper? In the context of this discussion you might. Lets disambiguate the term “idol” first. Looking back at Abrahamic religions, we know that idol worship is VERY BAD. A whole bunch of people have been punished over and over for worshipping idols, the story of the Golden Calf is perhaps one of the most prominent. Most people associate idols as being an opposing force to whatever new religious thought was being proposed. Their pagan nature was seen as threatening. But there is more to it than that……
Out of nowhere, so to speak, “you” suddenly appear in this world. Birth is followed by expansion. There is not only physical growth, but also growth of knowledge, activities, possessions, experiences. Your sphere of influence expands and life becomes increasingly complex. This is the time when you’re primarily concerned with finding or pursuing your outer purpose. Usually there’s also a corresponding growth of the ego, which is identification with all the above things, and so your form identity becomes more and more defined. This is also the time when outer purpose – growth – tends to become usurped by the ego, which unlike nature does not know when to stop it’s pursuit of expansion and has a voracious appetite for more. 1. The Principle of Cause and Effect
Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.
Born from the ego, the liberator and enslaver. The wellspring of knowledge yet simultaneously the veil that confines us to an illusory world.
NASA cameras captured images of two large solar flares on June 10, 2014. The first of the two explosions was classified as a X2.2 flare, which is considered to be “unusually” bright, according to NASA. C-class flares are small, M-class flares area medium sized while X-class flares are the biggest and can have significant effects on earth such as disruptions in high frequency radio communications. Though they pose no considerable threat to us, considering the massive bursts of radiation these solar flares emit there may be more nuanced effects that we can experience. Energetically, the microcosm on earth is directly connected to that of the sun. Cyclical in nature, the activity on the suns surface has been correlated by some to significant events on Earth.
Several scholars and spiritual figures have commented on the correlation between increased solar activity and our current transition from the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius. This shift is resulting in a transformation of our vibrational energies. Yogi Bhajan, a spiritual leader and practitioner of Kundalini, has commented that the increased solar activity is connected to the little sun within our own bodies, ie: the solar plexus chakra.
