A beautiful quote about love by Khalil Gibran, it reminds us to open our hearts to love. Not only romantic love, but love of everything; the universe, nature, beauty, and most importantly,,, you.

There a few people, every now and then, that dream so big, that love so deeply and work so hard that they can actually change the world. Martin Luther King Jr, an iconic leader in the African-American civil rights movement, was one of these people. “When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That’s the message he is sending.”
Thich Nhat Hanh is such an inspiration, what a teacher for peace and unity! We need more people like him around, especially in this day and age. I am therefore extremely happy from the recent news that he is ‘out of the coma and smiling’ (He has been in a coma due to a brain aneurism for the past several weeks). This is one of my favorite quotes of his. I shall be posting some more over the next few days. I also recommend reading any of his books, which are all available on Amazon.com. ‘No Mud No Lotus’ is a great one to start with! I will be posting some of my own reviews on his books.

He served as a beacon of light, to enlighten the path for those are lucky enough to come across his work. Continue reading The Evolutionary Consciousness of Rumi
